Portland, Oregon has made history once again. This mecca of progressive culture is now home to the World's first vegan mini-mall. The mall features Sweetpea Baking Company, Herbivore Clothing Store, Food Fight Vegan Grocery and Scapegoat Tattoo. We wish you all the best!

Sweetpea Baking Company offers fresh gourmet vegan baked goods, Stumptown coffee/espresso and a light breakfast and lunch menu. Herbivore offers incredible retail products including clothing, books and educational information. It's also the headquarters for the world famous Herbivore magazine. Daniel Rhoda is a certified Ayurvedic practitioner and the award-winning co-author of Eat-Taste-Heal: An Ayurvedic Cookbook for Modern Living. He is an associate of California Integrative Medicine, and is an adjunct faculty for Aloha Ayurveda Academy. Daniel is also the director of Five Elements Press in Hawaii. He has been a big supporter of Vegan Fusion and the Blossoming Lotus for many years and actually consulted with us before we began our journey in the publishing world.

Daniel worked on Wall Street before a debilitating joint condition led him to Kauai at age 24. His personal discovery of Ayurveda, along with the clinical guidance of Dr. Yarema, jump-started his recovery. Today, Daniel teaches courses in Ayurvedic healing and nutrition and serves as a nutritional consultant within the neutraceutical industry.
